ArborXR offers remote factory reset functionality, which you can learn more about here.
Additionally, ArborXR offers a setting to disable factory resets locally via the device's settings, to ensure that only admins can remotely factory reset devices as needed via the web portal. To prevent end users from factory resetting devices locally via device settings:
Navigate to the individual ungrouped device or device group in question.
Click on the Settings tab.
Click on Security in the sub navigation menu.
Uncheck the Allow User Factory Reset box.
Click Save.
💡 NOTE 1: Upon clicking Save, the specified configuration for Allow User Factory Reset will be applied to devices the next time they come online and connect to ArborXR's servers. |
💡NOTE 2: This does not disable factory resetting via Android's Recovery Mode as Android does not support this. |
