User Roles

ArborXR has four predefined roles: Organization Owner, Admin, Member, and Pairing App User. The permissions assigned to these four predefined roles are listed at the end of this article. 

While the permissions assigned to Admin and Member can be edited, the permissions assigned to Organization Owner and Pairing App User cannot. 

Custom roles can be created and ArborXR offers a CRUD (create, read, update, and delete) system for each. 


Create Custom Roles

  1. Navigate to Organization Settings.
  2. Select the Roles tab.
  3. Click Add Role.
  4. Enter a Role Name.
    • Optionally add a Role Description and Copy Permissions From an existing role.
  5. Click Save.

  6. Scroll down to Permissions then click Expand All.

  7. Assign relevant permissions to the new role then scroll down and click Apply Changes

Predefined Roles

Organization Owner:

  • Manage billing
  • Manage roles
  • Manage users 
  • Manage organization name and logo
  • Delete organization
  • Monitor audit log
  • Add devices via the desktop pairing app
  • Create device groups 
  • Assign devices, apps , files and launch method to a device group
  • Deploy apps & files to ungrouped devices
  • Mange ungrouped devices launch method
  • Delete devices
  • Upload & delete apps
  • Upload & delete files
  • Manage device settings 
  • Create, rename, and delete tags
  • Share content to other organizations they are a part of
  • Remove content that has been shared to their organization

Admin:

  • Manage users 
  • Manage organization name and logo
  • Monitor audit log
  • Add devices via the desktop pairing app
  • Upload & delete apps
  • Upload & delete files
  • Create device groups
  • Assign devices, apps, files and launch method to a device group
  • Deploy apps & files to ungrouped devices

Member:

Pairing App User:

  • Add devices via the desktop pairing app
Pairing app users do not have access to anything in their organization other than https://app.arborxr.com/download
